Barbara Jane Hall

Barbara Hall, 90, of Iowa Falls, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Hansen Family Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Woodley Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Barb will be laid to rest next to her husband, Don, at the Union Cemetery. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Iowa Falls is caring for Barb and her family. Barbara Jane (Tow) Hall was born on October 18, 1934 to Carl R. and Marceda Mae (Fuller) Tow in Marshalltown, Iowa. Barb graduated from Le Grand High School and continued her education at AIB and Iowa State University. On September 5, 1954 Barbara was united in marriage to Donovan Harold Hall in Ames, Iowa. Family was the most important thing to her and she was an amazing wife and mother. For Barb, the beauty of life was found in the simplest moments. A quiet breakfast with family, the comforting rhythm of daily routines or the excitement of starting a new book. She knew that love wasn’t shown through grand gestures, but in the small things: the way someone remembers how you take your coffee or your favorite author. It was in the shared laughter around a Bridge table, her loyal passion for the Cyclones and the quiet joy of hours spent in the kitchen making lefse every Christmas. In these everyday rituals, she found a life full of meaning, warmth and love. To Barb there wasn’t much in life that couldn’t be made better, with a chocolate malt. It was more than just a favorite treat. It was a philosophy. Whether comforting a loved one after a hard day or simply celebrating the small joys, she believed in the healing power of sweetness, laughter and a shared moment over something simple. That malt became a symbol of her unwavering optimism and gentle way of caring for others, reminding all of us that love can be served with a straw and a smile. Let Barb be a reminder to us all to love gently, that the greatest lives are created in the most ordinary moments and to never, ever skip dessert. Those left to cherish Barb’s memory are her children, Marcy (Steve) Liittschwager of Iowa Falls, IA and Kevin (Tami) Hall of Milo, IA; grandchildren, Tyler Hall of Elkhart, Madison (Mitchell) Wieland of North Liberty, Summer (Nick) Hall of West Branch, Bryce (Maddie) Hall of Milo, Weston Jones of Iowa Falls, Sadie Liittschwager of Iowa Falls and Kylie (Brandon) Liittschwager of Iowa Falls; great-grandchildren: Ella, Tylyn, Opal and Myla and a brother, Jerry (Karen) Tow of Champaign, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Marceda Tow and her husband, Donovan Hall.
