Linda L. Jones

Linda L. (Lange) Jones, 83, formerly of Iowa Falls, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Nebraska Medicine Bellevue Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Woodley Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Following the service Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A luncheon will be held at the Iowa Falls American Legion after burial. Woodley Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is caring for Linda and her family. Born on April 23, 1941 in Franklin County, Iowa to Waneva and Donald “Skeeter” Lange, Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Linda graduated from Owasa High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Jerry L. Jones on November 11, 1960 at the First Christian Church in Iowa Falls. To this union two children were born, Bryan L. Jones and Brenda L. Jones. The year following their marriage, Jerry enlisted with the United States Air Force, bringing their family to Vermont, Texas, Mississippi, Georgia, Germany, North Dakota, Utah and Nebraska over the 25 years served. At each location, Linda found some form of work, ranging from dental hygienist to a telephone operator and finally retired after 20 plus years at SAC Federal Credit Union in Nebraska. After Jerry’s retirement from the Air Force, they stayed and settled down in Bellevue, Nebraska where both of their children resided. Linda and Jerry enjoyed coming back to Iowa Falls throughout the years to spend time on the Marbon farm and with both of their families. While not in Iowa Falls, they enjoyed time with their children and going to the grandchildren's sporting and life events. After Jerry’s passing, she continued to be the heart of her family and ensured all were always taken care of. Throughout her life, in her free time, she spent many hours making crafts and preparing meals and treats for others. Linda is survived by and will be greatly missed by her son, Bryan (Connie) Jones and their daughter, Haley (Josh) of Bellevue; daughter, Brenda (Rob) Larsen and their children, Kelsey (Blake) and Jacob of Bellevue; brothers, Donald “Sonny” Lange and Edward Huffman; sister, Sherry Crosser; siblings-in-law, Donald (Dinah) Jones and Marianne Jones; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Jones; parents, Waneva and Russell “Jack” Huffman and Donald “Skeeter” Lange; parents-in-law, Marion and Bonnie Jones; sister, Kathy (Michael) Hunt; sister-in-law, Carolyn Lange and brother-in-law, Ronald Jones.
